hi there. hopefully tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day for all of us. though I have doubts :-)
I hope tomorrow is a wonderful day! I was in a day-long retreat at work today.... and tomorrow is day 2 of the same retreat. :( It was actually better than I thought...
retreat sounds good! is it the kind of "let's do nothing and call it a retreat" affair? :-D or, "let's just move the office and all the crap somewhere else"?
first day of school is not as horrible as I expected. but getting up before 7 was a shocker. :-O
Maipenrai, I got home just now and your packet has arrived :-) I wasn't expecting it until next week or even later. THANK YOU :-) I'll look a little later. dinner first :-)
guess where I found the ants today. in my towel. the problem is, I wrapped it around myself before I realised they had invaded it - I left it on the floor in the morning, wet. now I am itching all over like a mad dog. just when I thought, wow, good, finally I can relax a little, now that it is wretched 6 p.m. nope.
hoorray! that was 6 days... instead of the 7 days they promised me! :-)
it's not much, but I hope you have fun with it :-)
listening to the music now :-) this will keep me entertained for a while. you certainly made my day :-) it is exactly the kind of music I have on my "favourites" CD, there are some overlaps, but lots of songs as well I didn't know before. :-)
wow! I had such a cool afternoon!!! will try to post about it later on, need a shower first (yes, I went jogging!!!!!!!!!!! can't believe it myself either :-p )
so much for now: I gave the Thai minister of health a tour around our company! can you believe it?? I'm still grinning :D more details later :-)
How cool...what an exciting week so far for everyone!
I can't wait to hear about yoru story with the Thai minister of health!!
I am back from retreat and will be back in my office and back getting connected here... the retreats were a mix of "strategic planning" and "team building" I enjoy the retreats, but then again, I'm on the committee that plans them. :)
Maipenrai :-) was it out of the blue? did you speak Thai to him? :-D
I HATE teambuildings. for me, it always ends up as team destruction. really. if we had had one last week, I wouldn't have gone. thank god, so many people complained about last year's activities that it was cancelled. (suffice to say last year we were all covered in mud and I threw up too. yes and it was supposed to be fun to drink all sorts of disgusting liquids and first I just didn't dare to chicken out. and of course the Thais hated it but they didn't dare to say "go to hell with your stupid shit" and rather suffered.) I also had the same experience when volunteering in Britain. nothing can so effectively single me out as THE weirdo as a "fun" teambuilding crap :-( I can work hard, I can work in a team, but thanks I don't need meaningless shit to trigger my sense of responsibility. I am MAD even just to think back.
this was not meant to be personal :-D
sorry for the delay... my internet didn't work yesterday evening. Now I posted it in the regulars forum. (just a short post)
and yes, I tried to speak Thai, but I haven't practised in ages, so there wasn't much I could say. I understood a lot, but talking is a completely different matter... ;) plus their English was very good.
Have a nice day!!
