Maipenrai, I've been thinking for a while what to say about my day but nothing more expressive than "crap" comes to my mind :-) just tired, tired, tired, we are back to 9-hour working days, 27 kids, and it takes a few weeks to settle back into the rhythm. luckily, the first semester is easier (much less workload), but still, the hours do me in :-( and of course our computer broke down as well and the computer teacher, who is supposed to fix it, is not very reliable, it may take ages. so, I miss those "stolen" ten minutes online as well. btw the kids are great and in many ways a lot more easily manageable than last year's lot. a year ago, we had a couple of really difficult special needs kids. but this year, everybody is "normal". I don't exactly understand why I am complaining :-) I think it's just second nature. I'll always complain. how about your day? any marriage offers today? :-D
:-D nope, no marriage offers today... back to serious office life ;-) my day hasn't been very eventful either so far, just working on my data and trying not to fall asleep ;-) but the last two days have been so busy that I find it quite relaxing to have a "normal" day in between. tomorrow is going to be busy again with practical courses. I really hope it's not going to rain this time!! Betti, it sounds like you're soon going to love these kids. and I saw their pictures on your blog, they're so cute! :-) I hope that computer is going to be fixed soon :-) Have a nice evening!
thanks :-) still listening to your music cd :-)
:-) I'm glad you like it! did you listen to the Paul McKenna thing yet?
at the weekend, I will. I am utterly incapable of higher mental functions on a weekday :-)
don't worry! no higher mental functions required! I almost always fall asleep when I listen to it, but still find it helpful. I think it still works on your unconscious, even when you're dozing off... ;-) but I agree, it's much nicer to do these kinds of things when you have no other comitments and stuff :-) Let me know what you think about it, ok?
I opted not for the nap but to leave early yesterday and come in late today. No one seemed to notice. I feel much more refreshed. Unlike Betti, my "kids" (otherwise known as university students) have just recently left...and we have our peace and quiet back again. Time to work on end of year reports.... etc. Oh...except today is Sports Day for staff. I'm one half of the reigning 3-legged race championship team and I intend to win again this afternoon!
Pailin go go! Pailin go go! :-) good to "see" you still enjoy this kind of un-serious stuff :-) I would rather sleep on my sofa. if I had one, that is. have I told you about the parent who was demanding that we give percentages on his kid's work? (yes, he is a five-year-old.) now I understand why my K2 teacher colleague told me he is soooo glad to get rid of some of the parents. I'm still kinda stunned.
Percentages? Like great job cutting out that circle, but you were supposed to cut out a rectangle, so I'll give you a 50% ???
yes, something like that :-) (mom is a squarehead - talking about shapes!)
