    Re: Thank you Ireland

Unfortunately, most of the promotion of same sex marriage tries to present it as a "love" thing - people should be able to love whoever they want. I believe this is shooting themselves in the foot....

    Re: My friends

I have an app that monitors connections with different sites. I tried Chrome, just to check it out.

What I found was that, when initially firing it up, it calls home about a dozen or more times....

In the context of security, how many people use Chrome as their browser?
  4. News: Re: Dozens arrested in anti-coup protests in Bangkok, Khon Kaen

Yesterday, during the "after the anthem junta minute", there was a lengthy video celebrating all the wonderful things the junta has done. I guess they didn't want any rain on their parade.
  5. News: Re: Thailand's Tiger Temple Abbot in ICU After Tiger Savages Him

This should make many people happy!
  6. Re: First give, then receive - Nong Poonsukwattana

One thing I noticed about Nong's khao mun gai is that she serves chicken livers instead of blood (I prefer blood). Also, because Oregonians are nuts for peanut sauce, she also provides that.
  7. Re: First give, then receive - Nong Poonsukwattana

During my last couple decades, living in the States, the vast majority of people I hung out with were SEA immigrants, mostly Cambodian and Vietnamese. These peoples' stories helped me realize that...

This is like Suthep mounting a campaign against corruption!

  9. News: Re: Abhisit says he will quit politics if his party loses out in the next election

Abhisit could be the poster boy for those the current regime is trying to protect.
  10. News: Re: Abhisit says he will quit politics if his party loses out in the next election

Isn't it funny how "popular opinion" doesn't always seem to rule out?
  11. News: Re: PM axes 45 officials under graft probe with his special powers

It would be interesting to know the political affiliations of the axed.

If the new constitution does provide for the proposed "3rd branch" of government, and the powers under "section 44" are...

News: Re: Expressway crash teen faces charges

It seems she will be responsible for 48 hours of "caring for injured". However, she will probably send a maid to do it for her!

News: Re: Expressway crash teen faces charges

Actually, unlike in the USA, most of these Thai teens never even see the inside of a jail or courtroom.

At least, in the States, the accused have to go through the process. It's the same system....

  21. Re: More Taxi Drivers Suspended for Refusing Passengers
