Chao Phraya River..

hi...as i will be gg to bangkok soon in this coming July, i would like to know some info regarding the Chao Phraya River ride... May some kind souls enlighten mi on the directions in order to take the boat ride? I'm staying in a hotel near Pratunam area, how long will it take to reach the pier by taxi? and roughly how much will the taxi ride cost? How much is the ticket for the boat ride along the river?
