Suppose to...
How would you say:
"He was suppose to go to the store last night."
"He is suppose to go to school tomorrow."

You can use ควร
"He was suppose to go to the store last night."
เขาควรไปที่ร้านเมื่อคืน
"He is suppose to go to school tomorrow."
เขาควรไปโรงเรียนพรุ่งนี้

I know it's not an english forum, but:
"He was supposed to go"
"He is supposed to go"
You need a "d" on the end of it.

Do you think there is a difference between 'was supposed to' and 'should've'?
I always translate ควร as should... is there anything more delicate to imply that he was expected to (as in it was on the schedule and not my opinion that he 'should've'????)
Again, I'm probably getting way too specific.

Well you could use น่าจะ instead (เขาน่าจะไปโรงเรียนพรุ่งนี้), which I think is a bit 'softer' sounding than ควร. ควร is often used to imply things people are expected to do too though, it's not just a judgemental "should've".

Thanks for going down the road of details with me. Now that you mention it, I have heard น่าจะ and can hear the subtle difference between that and ควร

Thanks, I thought that you could use ควร but I wasn't for sure if you could use it for both the past and the future.
