Re: My close encounter with gem scam !

Not sure how to get a message going but we are wondering how Khru Juling is going after her bad experience a little while ago. If anyone could tell us if she is recovering well we would appreciate it. Hope all this trouble settles down in the area.
    many thanks in anticipation

    The news is not good.
The last news I saw over the weekend - I think it was a small by-line in "The Nation" -reported that there were problems with her lungs.

    Found it:
    Juling's condition worsens

Songkhla - The condition of teacher Juling Pongkanmool has worsened with lung complications, doctors announced Sunday.

Doctors at the Songkhla Nakharin Hospital announced that there were fluids in the tissue layers wrapping her lung so doctors needed to use a tube to drain out the fluids.

Doctors have also given her medicine to increase blood pressure and to cure lung infections.

There is still no response from her brain, doctors said.

Juling has been in coma since villagers in Narathiwat held her hostage and beat her up four months ago.

    Re: How is Khru Juling?

Thank you Richard and Khun Don for your prompt response to our enquiry - living iun Australia it is hard to understand how these things can happen although as the world becomes smaller (communication speaking) it becomes more frightening. We appreciate that so many people must care how Khru Juling is coping. We can only think of her and pray she can fight hard and long enough to overcome these terrible problems. Our special thoughts are with her family who must be suffering terribly to see what she is enduring.
Many thanks again for your communication expertise.
    Sincerely

Royals to visit teacher still in coma
    The Nation,
    7th September 2006

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, Princess Srirasmi and Princess Bajra Kitiyabha will represent Her Majesty the Queen during a visit to Juling Pangamoon, a teacher who has been in a coma since she was beaten by a mob in May, at Prince of Songkhla Hospital on September 10.

Juling's family was grateful and wept upon hearing the news, said Juling's mother Khamme Pangamoon.

"I whispered this good news to my daughter and hoped she would regain consciousness and be able to experience the audience with Their Royal Highnesses," said Khamme.

She added that both she and Juling's father were very grateful to receive such a high honour and believed that Their Royal Highnesses' blessings could inspire a miracle.

The 24-year-old Juling and a colleague at Ban Kuching Reupah School in Narathiwat's Rangae district were taken hostage and beaten in May by villagers who demanded authorities release two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of two marines in the same district last year.

Juling has remained unconscious for the past four months, breathing with the assistance of a respirator. Her pulse and blood pressure have been stable, but her brain shows little activity, said Dr Sumet Peerawut, chairman of the hospital where Juling has been cared for since the attack.

    HRH Crown Prince visits Juling

HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn Sunday visited Juling Panganmoon, the teacher who has been in a coma since a brutal attack in May, at the Prince of Songkhla Hospital in Hat Yai.

More than 1,000 people gathered to welcome the Crown Prince, Princess Srirasmi and Princess Bajra Kitiyabha as they arrived at the hospital to visit the teacher on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.

The 24yearold teacher and another woman teacher at Ban Kuching Reupah School in Narathiwat's Rangae district were taken hostage in May by villagers demanding the release of two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of two marines in the same district last year. They were beaten up by the villagers while security forces were trying to organise their rescue.

Juling has been in a coma at the Songkhla Hospital since then, and breathes with the assistance of a respirator. Her pulse and blood pressure have been stable, but her brain shows little activity, said Dr Sumet Peerawut, chairman of the hospital.

Despite being unconsciousness for months, her medical team has not yet reached a conclusion as to whether she is technically dead, the doctor told her royal visitors.
