    Re: Rhyming expressions

    The correct spelling is ตกร่องปล่องชิ้น
My big mistake! Sorry, Dogodon. You are correct. It's spelled ตกล่องปล่องชิ้น

ตก is probably from ตกลงใจ - to decide
    ล่อง - to follow along.
ปล่อง - not sure what it means in this idiom, but it sounds like a way which two lovers have to go together.
    ชิ้น - lover.

To be honest, I am not sure whether I am right but I always thought กระเหี้ยนกระหือรือ is when you are eagerly wanting something so much so it should mean - craving, or having an intense desire ... what do you think?
Yeah, I think it sounds better. :-)

    Re: Rhyming expressions

    อัตคัด (อัต-ตะ-คัด) = to be poor, needy

เหลือบ่ากว่าแรง = to take on or shoulder more than one can do

เพลิดเพลินเจริญตา = to be pleasing to the eye, beautiful, splendid, gorgeous

I'm not sure if this second one really qualifies as a rhyming expression, but I think it does.

This one is an interesting phrase if you consider the literal meaning of the words.

นุ่งลมห่มฟ้า to be stripped to the buff, to be naked

Ran across a few more recently:

ไร้ญาติขาดมิตร - without kith or kin, utterly alone
    ชนเผ่าเหล่ากอ - ethnic groups, tribes
ยอมรับนับถือ - believe in, subscribe to, worship
