ตก is probably from ตกลงใจ - to decide
ล่อง - to follow along.
ปล่อง - not sure what it means in this idiom, but it sounds like a way which two lovers have to go together.
ชิ้น - lover.

To be honest, I am not sure whether I am right but I always thought กระเหี้ยนกระหือรือ is when you are eagerly wanting something so much so it should mean - craving, or having an intense desire ... what do you think?
