so happy! Catholic priest in Phuket?

    Hi all,

I've been asked by someone wanting to get married in Phuket in June next year if I could find a catholic priest in Phuket.

Does anybody know of one or where I could find one?

    Much appreciated.

I was in Thailand last year with a group of Catholics. We had gone to the web site mentioned above and jotted down all the info. But we found that almost all the info. were out of date including the phone numbers. Luckily I have a friend who knows someone locally and we were able to get the up to date info. but with a lot of calling around. So my suggestion is to find someone local who can help you find the up to date info.

You are right, of course, but I would have thought the Christian churches would have kept sites etc up to date. After seeing the site was down, for what ever reason, I thought the "Hotmail" address might still be "live" -oh well-you live and you learn !

Try contacting the concierge at the fanciest resort. If they don't help, try the next fanciest. Professional concierges live to answer questions like this.

Any Thai it seems lives to answer questions, any questions, even if he knows nothing about what you are talking about, but will tell you something even if it is wrong, but it gives him a chance to talk to you for 5 minutes and when you follow his directions, you will be more lost than you were before.

At least that is what I have found, maybe it is my wife that is always wanting to interpret what they say that is wrong...
