    Thanksin's House in London

Ousted PM arrives at his luxurious apartment in London
    The Nation, 21st September 2006

Ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has arrived in London late Wednesday and he is expected to reunite with his family at a luxurious apartment in Kensington.

His daughter, Pinthongta, stays at this apartment, Maple Lodge on Marloes Road during her study.

Thaksin travelled to London from New York after he was ousted by a well-orchestrated coup led by Army Commander in Chief Gen Sonthi Bunyaratglin.

One of Thaksin's critics, Ekkayuth Anchanbutr had said price of the apartment is about Bt320 million.

A journalist of the Nation was barred from entering the premises by a security guard. The Maple Lodge is one of the apartments in the premises marked with a dome building at the entrance.

Bet he has not got a 30 year lease or had to start a company to buy it ! (normal lease is 99 years in this area of London)
Also, I bet having "daddy" around is cramping Ms Shinawatra's style something awful !!

Really don't matter what it cost,,Taxpayers of Thailand most likely paid for it.
Wonder if he has that A300 airbus that he bought with Thai money over there or where is it, I haven't heard anything about it since right after he bought it and it was shown wearing civilian registry numbers on it's tail.

A lot of money for an apartment, I would prefer one of the larger apartments in the Toaster building just behind the Sydney Opera House, for about the same money.

Having both British and Australian passports my self, I have the choice to live in England or Australia, and I for one, think England is far to expensive, specially London, but it's always a nice place to visit.
