For a project, can you tell me how to say "Experience Thailand" and "Welcome to the Land of Smiles"

I am really taking a wild guess here, and I need a Thai person to verify whether or not this is correct:
ประสบประเทศไทย (bprasop bprathet-thai)
experience/discover Thailand"Random Witty Comment"

"Welcome to the Land of Smiles" - ยินดีต้อนรับสู่เมืองยิ้ม (yindee dtorn rap suu meuang yim)

Mike,
I came up with a similar translation, but then it didn't feel right. I think it's because ยิ้ม is a verb. So I made it into a noun and came up with two other questionable sentences ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ประเทศของอาการยิ้ม and ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ประเทศของการยิ้ม
Then, I headed out to google, and tracked down a Thai page that translated "the land of smiles" as "ดินแดนแห่งยิ้มสยาม" So, I figured ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ดินแดนแห่งยิ้มสยาม might work. However, I'm still not sure if this is any better than what we came up with. What do ya think?"Random Witty Comment"

Well as far as I know ยิ้ม is both a verb and a noun, and I think การยิ้ม would be more like "the act of smiling" or something like that.
It looks to me like เมืองยิ้ม is the most common way of translating "land of smiles". If you type it into Google it comes up with a fair few results for that.
So as you could say ยินดีต้อนรับสู่เมืองไทย I reckon ยินดีต้อนรับสู่เมืองยิ้ม would be ok too, maybe someone else could confirm/deny that though...
ยินดีต้อนรับสู่ดินแดนแห่งยิ้มสยาม looks alright too to me, just a bit more formal sounding maybe.

I suppose you are right about ยินดีต้อนรับสู่เมืองยิ้ม. I checked google and sure enough, up came several pages.
