so happy! Re: Bangkok airport to Hua Hin

    Hi,

Could anyone suggest the best way to get from BKK to Pranburi & back, transportation wise.

I'll be staying at BKK for a day, head to Pranburi for a couple of days and back to BKK. On my way back I intend to head straight to the airport.

So what is the best means of transportation?

I gathered that that the recommended transport choice would be a 1st class bus from the southern bus station and stop at the pranburi station. on my way back, since i want to head straight to the airport, i guess i have to take a bus from pranburi station, to the southern bus station and a cab back to airport. is that the way to go?

how much will a direct cab to pranburi cost?

    MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Re: BKK to Pranburi & back

    Hi again,

Just a point of clarification, Pranburi is just south of Hua Hin, in fact some websites deem the hotels at Pranburi as a "South Hua Hin" hotel. I'll be staying at Tanao Sri Resort. Nearby resorts are The Evason Resort, Swiss Beach Resort, Aleenta & Havana. Khao Kalok is also nearby. If I decide to take the bus, do let me know if it is correct to stop at the Pranburi bus station near the Chatkaew Market. (See map here... http://www.thaiwaysmagazine.com/hua_...pran_buri.html)

    Thanks!

All I can offer is this:

There are many different ways to reach Pranburi. You could fly from Bangkok to Hua Hin Airport and then transfer by private minibus/limousine. You could also catch the train from Bangkok to the South and get off at Pranburi Station. Public air-conditioned busses are leaving from Bangkok's Southern Terminal several times per day and need little more than 3 hours for the 220 kilometres distance.

Maybe someone who has been there can help you more.
