A couple of quick questions:

Do attachments expire after a certain amount of time so that cleanup is not necessary?

If I cleanup my attachments, do the links in the posts refering to them get deleted?

I am pretty sure they don't expire. Not sure about you doing a clean up. Only way to find out is for you to post an attachment here!

Thanks Richard. I did delete one of my attachments and now the post gives an error asking the reader to inform the administrator if the link was vaild.

So, if a member deletes an attachment then the member should also delete the link in the relevant post.

Just went back to the post to delete the link and the link has disappeared! It seems the error routine must have done it when I tried to follow it.
