A mini stockpile of explosives found in Bangplat district

Police found a mini stockpile of explosives, including hand grenade and ammunitions in Bangplat district on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, police and bomb squad team raided a room in Sribamroong Muang Apartment on Charansanitwongse 53 at about 11.30am. Inside the room, they found police found a hand grenade, a stick kof power gel explosive with four detonators, three rounds of ammunitions for revolver and a 9-mm pistol.

Found together with the explosives were a yellow headband with a word, "patriot" on it.

Initial investigation reported that the room belonged to a woman who rented the room about two years ago. But she disappeared and failed to pay the renting, apartment manager then decided to open the room and found the confiscated explosives.
