    what is "Maha oud" ?

    It may not be the right spelling, but it sound like "Maha oud"

    1) Does anyone know the correct spelling ?
    2) Could someone Please explain to me its meaning ?

    ( I don't have the Thai word.)

    someone was referring to an amulet, and he said : "The second amulet is call "Mahaoud." (he put a "U" in the word ? )

    Maha-Oud is a style of Buddha amulet. The style has the Buddha sitting with hands covering every orifice of the body signifying avoidance of the influence of the material world. The merit of this amulet are charm and good fortune.

    มหาอุด sometimes written มหาอุต maha (great) ud (to block or to plug a hole), for example ud fan อุดฟัน to fill a tooth cavity.

    Another word for the amult is Phrak Pit Tar (Close-eye Buddha)
