Re: Oakley sunglasses in Thailand
Siam Square has plenty of the real deal. There are 3 or 4 shops in between the Sois that have them. The fake ones say Oakey and not Oakley.
I would buy in Siam Square because they have plenty of high end shops there...

Re: Oakley sunglasses in Thailand
There are Oakley sunglasses both original and imitation selling in Thailand. You find the real deal in optical shops in big shopping malls and you find those imitations on those roadside stalls and night markets.
If you're buying original, you'll find them cheaper in Singapore. Same for Casio G-shocks, Swatch watches, Mont Blanc pens, etc. I believe its to do with the high import tax for these "branded" stuffs. Thais actually go to Singapore to buy these stuffs....

Re: Oakley sunglasses in Thailand
Do Oakley's have a life-time warranty? Or is it only one year? If your pair becomes damaged, do you have to send it to the US or can you take it to the Oakley store in BKK (there is one at Siam Paragon and another at the Emporium)? Will you have to wait 1 week or 1 month before your glasses are replaced? Will they give you hell and ask a lot of questions? This is important stuff to know. Oakley's cost $5 to make, if not less. They sell for a few hundred dollars. The cost differential is due to what? Marketing? Service? or both? If the cost differential is all do to high marketing expenses and hardly to do with service then find another brand.
People who fly Lear Jets don't wear Ray-Bans or Oakleys. They wear Tommy Bahamas. How bout when you are flying around in that LEAR JET of yours, don't you wear Oakleys then??"Random Witty Comment"
