Where is the best place to live in Thailand?
Considering many aspects in education, culture, safety, friendliness, diversity, living expence, and food, where do you think (or would like to suggest) is the best place to live in Thailand? ( I'm looking for the place to hide from IRS,NSI,CIA,FBI,KGB and Interpol...heh heh j/k)

Re: Where is the best place to live in Thailand?
Best is an interesting word... best in education? best in culture? best in safety? best in etc. ??????Considering many aspects in education, culture, safety, friendliness, diversity, living expence, and food, where do you think (or would like to suggest) is the best place to live in Thailand?
If it's a prideful discussion to be had, I'll put my vote in for Trang.
Although, for diversity, I think it would be Songkhla (Thai Buddhist, Thai Muslim, Chinese all rolled into one).
I'm also a huge huge fan of Bangkok and all of her charming neighborhoods. Large cities have the ability to have all of the aspects you mentioned due to their sheer sizes.... and yes, I'd call Bangkok friendly.

Re: Where is the best place to live in Thailand?
Well, when you guys think of living in Thailand, even if you are Thai, wouldn't you care about how the life in certain town will be like? For example, between Coke and Pepsi; Coke's containers are cuter..

Pailin, why is it-Trang? Is Songkla too dangerous at the present?

Re: Where is the best place to live in Thailand?
Speaking personally, no. For me the only place in Thailand to consider is Buri Ram, or more specifically the village [that I won't name on a public forum] that my family lives in.
It's the same in Wales, I have lived in this same home since I was born over 40 years ago, as has my father since he was born nearly 70 years ago.

Re: Where is the best place to live in Thailand?
All depends on what you will need to survive and what you like to do, how close to what would be considered good medical facilitys, How well do you like typhoons as a possibility, Will you be happy with Thai food or farang food, high or low elevations, how do you like bombs, dead people or thieves, We have it all here and just depends on what you like.
I live away from what some need, but I am happy, so just depends.
Up To You.
come, go to a few places and see for yourself, Up To You.
