A teacher has been charged in Thailand with distributing hundreds of child porn photographs over the internet.
Paul Cornelius Jones, 39, originally from Cardiff, was arrested after a joint operation and faces 15 years in prison if found guilty.

Thai police said officers raided his apartment in Bangkok and found photographs of naked children after a tip-off from British authorities.

His arrest was part of an ongoing investigation which begun in 2003.

Colonel Apichart Suribunya, head of Thailand's Interpol liaison office, said Mr Jones was accused of sending photographs of naked children back to the UK over the internet.

He has lived in Thailand for seven years and police there said he had been working as a teacher at a Bangkok private school.

Officers said that Mr Jones did not appear in the photos, and that there was evidence he had sold the pictures.

The UK's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (Ceop) was alerted after Mr Jones breached the terms of the sex offenders register, which required him to keep in contact with police.

Ceop chief executive Jim Gamble said: "This arrest is the culmination of a complex and dynamic enquiry across national and international borders.

"Child sex offenders who think that they can evade justice by travelling abroad should take note - Ceop's international partnerships mean that there is no hiding place."

Briton arrested for alleged child pornography trading

A Briton, who teaches English at an international school in Bangkok, has been arrested for having allegedly traded child porn photos via Internet.

Paul Jones, 59, was arrested at his room at Siwara Condominium on Soi Lardprao 94 at 9:30 pm Tuesday.

Pol Col Siripoing Timula, commander of the technology-related crime investigation centre, said Thai police had been alerted by the Interpol to arrest Jones, who had allegedly committed similar crimes in England, Australia and the United States.

Siripong said Jones has been teaching English at an international school in Wang Thong Larn area.

He said the Briton hired Thai boys and girls to pose for nude pictures, which he sold via Internet.

Siripong said Jones was arrested after an undercover police pretended to be a transvestite and offered to pose for him to take nude pictures.

It sounds like it is not really relevant, isn't it? but if you read the Thai version from

it actually stated that the undercover police disguised himself as a member of a ladyboy forum in which they knew the suspect is the regular; once the police engaged in a conversation with the suspect, the suspect was asking whether the undercover policeman is (or be able to find) a transvestite that has already had breast transplanted but has not had sex change and willing to have sex with 15 year-old boy for him to take photos, in return of 300,000 Baht.

It did say in The Manager that he wanted a boy under 15 (illegal)who already had breast implants, again that is very impossible!

Well that pedophile Chrsitopher Neil guy who was just arrested earlier had a fetish for ladyboys and John Mark Karr did too and now this guy! Three in a row. And it took a ladyboy to coax him into taking on an Internet Forum!

What is very suspect in my eyes now, is that there has to be some transvestite gangs around working with pedophiles. Some decent investigative journalism is called for.

I think the deal was to let the ladyboy with breast implants do it with a 15 year old boy. Thats silly. Why can't he just find a 18 year old "boy"? Then he won't be breaking the law... right?
