Re: Love of Siam- dialect
being a thai beginner, i found this movie very comprehensable, & even though i didnt understand most of it, the words/sentenaces were still clear to hear
so i was wondering what type of dialect are the cast speaking? is this what you would generally hear in & around bangkok.......?

Re: Love of Siam
Well, it's not "Isaan Dialect", not "South Dialect" and not "North Dialect" (Chiang Mai); so I surely would say it's "High Thai" what you will hear in Bangkok.
But as many people from Isaan work in Bangkok (Taxi Drivers etc.) you will also hear "Isaan Dialect" very much in Bangkok. My interesting blog about Thailand at Thailand Blog ---> click here

Re: Movie Review: Love of Siam
Glad to see the revival of this good movie I have yet to watch but will definitely want to watch.
Sleep, little one, close your eyes, mother will sing you a lullaby... Sleep in a jewel cradle, sleep, mother will rock you.
If you don't sleep the midges will go for your eyes and pollen will fall on the cradle....Sleep, close your eyes...
