Has anyone actually seen dry mustard powder anywhere around Bangkok?

Re: Dry Mustard
Not sure about BKK, But I would think so, I know we buy it up here and we have a hard time buying a lot of stuff up here.
We only have a small Tesco as well as Thai markets..

Re: Dry Mustard
I've hit a couple Tescos, a few Big Cs, a half dozen TOPs with no luck.
I may have to head to Paragon's market or Villa.
The problem is that if Villa has it, it will be 15 years old and a solid brick!

Re: Dry Mustard
I'v seen many varities of mustard in Bkk bt never come across dry mustard - and I always keep a close tab on farrang foods.
As for bustard, you'd have to have a special licence to trade in wild animal species but Thailand always had a bad reputation for that. I don't know of any bustard native to Thailand. I gather there are quite a few bastards tho.

Re: Dry Mustard
Can you substitute dry mustard with prepared mustard or whole mustard seeds in your recipe? I would think you could find dry mustard in Bangkok area because many Thai recipes also call for dry mustard.

Re: Dry Mustard
I don't know why we can get it up here when it is so hard to find in BKK, We have a can of COLEMANS on the shelf that we bought down town last year. it was 120.50 baht so is not cheap.
