    His name is Leedom Lefferts. He isn't exactly part of our program here but the guy who would normally give that lecture is away in the US right now, so someone corralled him into doing it. He told us he's been out of teaching for about four years now, and he is here to continue his field work in a village east of Khon Kaen called Baan Dong Phong, where he been working for a long time. There is short bio on him on this page.

    That was a great post Tim, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    As for the anthropologist, I think it's just a matter of discipline... the anthropologist will always relate it to culture. Ask a sociologist and she'll say it's social structure, the entymologist will say it's migration patters. Ask a geographer her opinions and she'll agree with you, Shuba!
