    Fon came out of where?

    ฝนเดินออกมาหน้าชั้น พูดกับเพื่อนๆ ว่า .....

So where did Fon walk over from... the top class? the next class? (the class next to us?)

"Fon walked out in front of the room"
as in, stepped out and stood in front (in the hallway, on the sidewalk...) to talk to friends.
    I think.

i'd say "she walked to the front of the class, and said to everyone (or announced) that..."

replace หน้า with นอก, and the meaning would be her coming out of the room.

    นอก means outside itself.

So ออก and ออกมา ... while they also have the implication (alone) of coming out of something.... in this case they are coming out of the back of the room (implied) and going to the front....

หน้าชั้น usually means at the front of the class, except in the context where someone is punished and told ออกไปยืนหน้าชั้น which means outside the room.
