Notice of Forum Upgrade
We just did a major upgrade on the forum, if you see any loss in functionality please reply here.
Over the next two weeks we will try to begin posting what features have been upgraded and added, for now we must try to find any errors this could have caused. Thanks for your continued help and support on improving the forum.

Re: Forum Upgrade
Thank you David. The reason for this is the profile page is one of the most heavily improved areas. It is almost completely re-written and the changes to this area have not yet been activated. I think of the entire upgrade package, this is the area that the users will soon enjoy the most.

Re: Forum Upgrade
The major upgrade was finished this afternoon. That was the easy part. We now have to revert the templates back to a clean slate in order to get all the new code which adds new functions to the forum. Once we have done that, we will then revert to our own style and also put back any of the hacks that we had in place which are not part of the standard software.
So, this is just a warning that things will look different for a while during this process. Once finished, we will need help in finding problem areas or good things that we had before that are now missing.

Re: Forum Upgrade
OHHH things are looking nice.
I see we have the number of times thanked now in our little info boxes in each post.
That might make me stop and think a bit more now before posting

Re: Forum Upgrade
I just noticed in the "members" list accessed from the top menu bar (new position), all of the columns are misaligned one column to the right.

Re: Forum Upgrade
Thanks for pointing that out. There are still quite a few tweaks to do. Plus a number of new hidden surprises. We will try and get all the new stuff documented. At the moment we are trying to replace all the software hacks we had before - like latest photos etc.
We also took this opportunity to do some forum moving. The Thailand Life Experiences has now been renamed as Foreigners Living in Thailand. It seemed the right thing to do as the forum was heading that direction. It also makes clearer the difference between this forum and the Thailand Life one much clearer. We also moved the music and movie forums to the Thailand Life section. We renamed the Relationship one as Thai Relationships and Marriage. Finally, we also temporarily turned off the book forum which was in the Learning Thai section. This is being revamped and will be relaunched as a general book section for all books about Thailand. Possibly with book reviews too.
