Also, That she has been in the US for 4 years and is working on an advanced degree aat a local university. And is a temp at a local cafe working as a waitress. Think you should inquire more about who this person is. It is unusual for a woman, thai or otherwise, to want to pay half of a resturant bill, on a first date. Something wierd here.

Thuggie, in some of your posts of the past, you have remarked how stupid you thought foreigner's can be when they get around a pretty thai girl. They see what others don't, Tell, me, why no skeptism when you hear a story like the above one.

In defense of Lenss, Thuggie in the USA and as a male speaking, the above statement was not strange in any way. Of the couple hundred dates I have been on with various women, I have only had a woman offer to pay her portion one time. It is not commonplace in the USA for this to happen. Lenss has a very good point in the few lines you quoted, though I have read nothing else in this thread.

A woman, from any country, offering to pay her share on a date is a rare thing.

In my experience, she either is seeing this as just a friendship, so she pays her share, or she's one of thsoe few women who are ok with paying for themselves, lol.

To clarify, this has happened to me 3-4 times in this scenario. Usually in this situation it is sometimes expected on/by both parties it seems.

Ok, sorry for saying what you said was werid. I just think it's normal (for us women) and polite to offer to share on the first date, esp when you are dating someone whom you don't know well. It's polite to offer duzn't matter if you have to finally pay or not. I just didn't think it was so shocking to you guys for a girl to offer to pay. Again, sorry. Didn't know what you guys have faced there.
