While I agree that the annoyance factor of the scammers is appalling, I tend to blame the victims as much as anyone for encouraging the activity.
How many of us can truly say that we do not enjoy a bargain?
And how many tourists can say that they do not have high hopes of finding one in Thailand or anywhere else they visit?
We all feed the need, one way and another, just remember "Buyer beware!" and "If it seems to good to be true, it probably is!"
To be happy with where you are, first be happy with who you are.

Ahhh, a good one! I will try to remember this!

Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or an idiot from any direction.

Never a dull moment it seems. On my last trip, a nice fellow near the Golden Mount approached to let me know of a Wat that was only open that one day for the whole year.

I'm looking forward to your gem of an operation.

What a coincidence. About 6 weeks or so ago a friend told me he saw someone being attacked near Central Chit Lom for taking photos of some scammers. After seeing this link I just realised it must have been Steve.

Steve only sent the link. He did not take the pictures.
