Re: Why I hate Christmas in Thailand
Nice pictures Richard I think the picture of the tree is the same tree that I took a picture of, in January of this year. I incorrectly identified it as being in MBK, looks like central world.

Re: Why I hate Christmas in Thailand
By the Name of God ... I'm Muslim from Egypt
i want only to say simple word that i dont agree about anything
(( Thai people are so kind as what i used to see here in egypt they dont hate anyone ))
number 2
(( we need to stop hating each other we have to love each other christians or muslim
or hindu or jewish or Buddism )) i will get nothing if i hate any other brother
but i will get alot of love by love others atleast to give chance for all to know me right
i have to start by opening heart to them .
lets remove ( hate ) word form our live and exchange it by ( Love )
with all respect for all of you and all love
i leave you in peace and love
Raggy .

Re: Why I hate Christmas in Thailand
I love Christmas in both Thailand and the USA!
I love the music (of my own choosing), decorating, and all the get-together's of family and friends.
I don't care to make it a stressful time, so I don't. I enjoy purchasing the few gifts I buy. Those special people in my life share the same values as I do. Most of the special adults in my life have children and grandchildren to buy for. Our gift to one another is a gathering which I enjoy hosting in my home. The most important part of this time is that we can visit, eat yummy cheesecake and talk. It is a time we can truly relax.
I live in an area where many people have lost their jobs, and there are a few good organizations collecting like-new & new toys for children. Many of us collect these toys year long and donate them at Christmas. I have a friend who buys bicycles at yard sales and fixes them up and paints them just to have the joy of donating them at Christmas. I know others who volunteer at open dinners and shelters. I have a single friend who does this, and she is never lonely at Christmas. She has a wonderful time and feels fulfilled and content at the end of the day.
One more thing: I believe the numbers of people who are generous far outweigh those who are selfish. I believe many people donate time, services, & material things, and never breathe a word about it.
Like I said, I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!Last edited by Susana; 02-02-09 at 07:28 PM. Reason: to add one more thing!
