Notice! Re: Tintin Books in Thai Language

Thanks for that. I didn't know that Tin Tin was available in Thai. I've been looking for something to read for a while that I'm interested in and able to read.

Just have a look at the Comic Cover.

"Tin Tin" is a very famous Comic originally from France but has been translated into several languages: English, German etc and of course Thai.

"Tin Tin" is the name of the main character, a young Reporter boy.
Along with his dog "Snowy" they have to pass many adventurous stories.

Tin Tin is French speaking but he is BELGIAN. Written by Belgian artist Herge (Georges Remi) and originally published in the Belgian newspaper Le Vingtieme Siecle on January 10, 1929.

David beat me to it, but here goes anyway.

I really enjoy the Tin Tin books in Thai. As I have said before somewhere on the forum, the language used in these comic books is very colloquial, which is good, plus you'll learn some good vocabulary. And they're fun to boot!

What is the level of competency required to read them? I am worried I may struggle through them.

Yeows, I think you could handle them. They're definitely not for complete beginners. I'd say they are intermediate level. They will stretch your vocabulary. You can get a lot from context, by looking at the pictures accompanying the text.
