I would probably send a bankwire or use Western Union depending on the actual circumstances.

A bankwire would be cheapest tho.

I did hear some bad things about Ikobo a few years ago but never used it myself.

Not always, the amounts I transfer to my wife a bank transfer would be 50% more expensive in charges.

And don't forget about Send2Thailand for gift certificates (to be used like cash) and other gifts!

We also do money transfers to bank accounts in Thailand. This is not only cheaper than Western Union but 100% quicker. However, we limit the amount and it is only for present customers that we know.

If you want to send her monthly, I recommend you to open an account here and send her your credit card my air mail. Afthe she's got your credit card, give her a call what you pin number is. Many Thai people do this thing when they want to support their family in Thailand.

Thanks all for your replies, much appreciated. I have used Richards site already, I didn't know he did money transfers also. Will check into it.
