PPP 'ready to speak with protesters'

(BangkokPost.com) - People Power party (PPP) said it is ready to engage in a talk with the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) who has continued to rally on the 11th day Wednesday to oppose the PPP's effort to amend the constitution.

PPP spokesman Kudep Saikrachang said the party has no problem to negotiate with the PAD, but would like police to speak with them first.

He insisted that his party does not resolve to back charter rewrite, but said it depends on the decisions of each members whether they want to back the rewrite.

He also said that PAD supporters should not become tool of PAD core leader Chamlong Srimuang in pressuring the government in hope for political change.
