I second this. I have a Chinese Malaysian friend who's fiancee is Chinese- Thai. They have this impression too.

If that's true, then I'm going to be so popular when I move over.

I'm pure Malaysian Chinese with my grandparents born in China but I look Japanese. Even other Chinese have commented on that and some Japanese and Koreans have mistaken me for a Jap. Needless to say, quite a number of Thai ladies have said the same thing, that I do not look Chinese at all.

    Re: Thai-Chinese Mixed Blood

Sorry to spoil the party, it seems to me that all these boy/girl relationships i have been reading here are but the attractions of nerves and bed activities. Most ended bitter, rarely sweet. It kept remaining me of the camels who love to eat desert cactus even though their mouths would bleed later. Their addictions knows no bounds despite the pain later. Such is the nature of human desires. Those walked away scotched free from other than heartaches are considered lucky. Some got bashed up blue and black or worse; stuck until end of their lives. What has it got to do with real love? I really dunno. I chose to be free from all these 'addictions' and be glad to be so for a long long time. I don't miss any of those bedtime stories. This freedom to move around and just be with my meditative self is more enchanting and peaceful to me. I won't say the same for everyone though.

Just sharing my views, at the end of the day, it's still 'to each his own'. No wrong or right answer.

That's because those who ate cactus without bleeding are enjoying themselves rather than posting in forums?

I do encounter ladies who are real beautiful and loving (to their boyfriend(singular)) so i thought it is possible to have physical attraction together with real love.

But of course i would have to agree with you most people are attached because they are physically attracted and end up badly when all the excitement is over..

    Re: Thai-Chinese Mixed Blood

i agree with rainbow721 and i can personally vouch for their rationale as i've suffered from having a thai guy i was seeing suddenly disappear from my life after 2 months, i'm a very pale, big-eyed pure chinese, but this doesn't mean that he won't leave you hanging despite what you're physical appearance may be once the initial novelty wears off. as you can see, i'm still trying to pick myself up from this experience after having being left in bits and pieces without so much as a goodbye.

    Re: Thai-Chinese Mixed Blood

I was adopted from Thailand by Swedish parents when I was six weeks old but I don't know anything about my ethnic history. Do I look like I have Thai-Chinese in me, ´cos I have several Chinese immigrants coming up and speaking Chinese to me, which I don't understand anything of anyway.

My biological mum's surname was Toomnok and a lot of ppl Iäve befriended on Fb seem to come from Chiang Mai. My biological dad's name was Jeema Tonesuwan.

What do you think, judging from my picture?

Dear Ankicat76, I wish I could tell you something to give you assurance, but I can't. I would like to welcome you to the forum, however, and encourage you to stay around. You will learn a lot about the culture in the country of your birth.

    Re: Thai-Chinese Mixed Blood

The term "mixed blood" is factually incorrect, as there is no mixing of blood when people of different race have children. It is also offensive, as it implies that the "mixing" is somehow wrong. If there is any mixing going on it is only of the genes, and often results in what geneticists call "hybrid vigour" where the progeny of mixed race marriages often inherit the best genes from both parents.
