I urgently need help for the translation and romanized lyrics of this song as I plan to play and sing this song on guitar and send a recording to my thai girlfriend. I danced with her to this song on the night she became my girlfriend, so it holds a special meaning to us. I don't know the exact meaning of this song but I keep hearing "ruk ter" in this song which means love you, so I guess it should be an appropriate song to choose. Help will be much appreciated.

Hi, I noticed one thing about the lyrics of this song. The song is sung by a male singer and I keep hearing "chan ruk ter" over and over again. I'm quite positive "chan" is used by females to refer to themselves. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

The word "chan/chun" can be used by male speakers but it is more informal and intimate.

can I assume females can use phom the same way as males can use chan? So, would it be deemed weird if i tell my girlfriend chan ruk ter?
Also, I understand the "correct" phrase for "I love you" from male to female is "pom ruk kun". Ter is usually used to refer to the third person, so which is actually correct?
1. pom ruk kun
2. pom ruk ter
3. chan ruk ter (in the case of the song)
4. chan ruk kun (just pointing out a possibility)
is there any difference between the four?

All of your examples are correct for "I love you"

pom ruk kun = is most formal

chan ruk ter = is informal and intimate and I think the one you should use with your girlfriend

If you want to use your name instead of "I" (which I often do) then you must use her name too.

i know you already know the usage but i just add 1 point, usually we will use each other name for intimate time.
i use pee kob rak norng or pee kob rak a ,something like that this is what me and my thai friend use.
