Re: Marrying a thai woman?
IMO, You can take the man out from the bar but not the bar out from the man

Re: Marrying a thai woman?
I believe we all want similar things out of life no matter what we do for a living and we are all whores in a way. Very few people do exactly what they want to do in life and love every minute of it. Many of us use our bodies and minds in situations that can be physically or emotionally demanding or potentially dangerous. Policemen, construction workers, or the office guy that thinks about jumping out the window at work aren't really that different from bar girls if you think about it.
If you find a woman in a bar she is first and foremost a woman and should be treated as such. One must at the same time be aware that it is her job to make you fell wanted so you'll take her away for a few hours or the rest of her life. There is no way to know someone's intentions in any given situation. As in any situation use caution and weigh the possibilities in your actions.

Re: Marrying a thai woman?
the difference is, that policemen, construction workers and the office guy don't earn their money through pretending to love you...
well... mmmhh...actually... there are indeed some office guys who earn their money through sucking up their bosses ...errr... back...

well...mmmm...Actually, people pretend to love one another to get what they want whether it be money, sex, safety, status, and emotional support. That is human nature. The bar girl uses what men want to get what she wants. I always say, Love begins where "I" ends. It isn't about what I can get from you, but what we can give to one another. Symbiosis.

Re: Marrying a thai woman?
In general yes I agree with you but not all girls that work behind the bar are 'pretending' to love someone.
Some people make the 'wrong' choices in life (if there is such a thing as a wrong choice) and end up having to do jobs they don't want to do just to pay the bills. I have met a lot of really nice people working in bars etc so can't just generalise them and say they are all after something.

Re: Marrying a thai woman?
Would you feel compelled to seek advice if you were considering marrying a western lady ? If your answer is no , why are you seeking advice about a Thai lady. Suggests your not sure , if so take your time.
One reply suggests you sponser this lady, would you trust her to stop working in bars. Each person a an individual but would strongly urge you to do a bit of research into bar-girl farang relationships. "She`s different" start so many accounts that finish "I got badly burnt"
Hope you can tick all you boxes,so to speak,as far as this girl is concerned, have you considered if she can fit into your culture, notoriously difficult, especially if she`s a bit isolated while you earn a living.
Tread carefully.

Re: Marrying a thai woman?
There is much more to consider in marrying a woman from an eastern culture because of the cultural differences and that's why I would seek advice. Hell, I have to seek advice on Western women from time to time. Women are otherworldly creatures no matter where they are from.
