Thanks for your offer. I am not sure how often you chat at the moment. You need to make your intentions known to the moderators in the chat room. Then, once they get to know you, and if they approve, they will put in a request for you to be a moderator.

I think some of them make the others felt that they are showing their power to much and sometimes it was unfair and giving double standard of the judgement.

Without going into personal disagreements or experiences - the way I always look at it - it's like the saying - you can please some of the people all of the time - all of the people some of the time - but never all of the people all of the time. As a collective group - the mods have done a great job of keeping the forums and chat room a safe - fun - and educational experience.

Thank you for the feedback, oeshidez. First, let me come clean and declare that I am one of the mods in the chatroom.

In order to address your concern, we need to know the details. Presently there are close to 10 mods who are active in the chatroom. (For those who have no idea, the names of mods are in green.) I am sure you are on good terms with most of them and are on even better terms with others. You can PM any of the mods and share with them your concerns.

The mods are just like you and I, someone who loves Thailand. All the mods have volunteered their time and none is paid to do the extra work of ensuring that the chatroom is family-friendly and suitable for everyone to chat in. Occasionally there might be some disagreements. Even the mods might not see eye to eye on the same issue. When that happens, the mods usually discuss the matter and come to a consensus.

If you feel that there are ways to improve or if you have any other concern, you can PM any of the mods (including me). We will be more than happy to take your suggestions into consideration or address your concerns. It is only with open communication that we can make the chatroom a better place for everyone.
