As far as I know, เป็นไงเป็นกัน is some kind of idiom, meaning roughly like "whatever will be will be". I'm not exactly sure though, hopefully someone else can explain more about this.

I had a try at this too, but struggled. Don't know how accurate it is, as parts of it don't make much sense to me and I didn't translate it all word-for-word, but anyway....

I often wonder whether to translate word-for-word or stick to the general idea. I gotta admit that since I am still working on my Thai vocabulary, and on my reading, doing it word-for-word is more helpful. Moreover, some times it fits right in my native language.
For example: เก็บใจไว้ในลิ้นชัก in my native language would be
"keep my heart in a drawer" and in English it will sound better this way: "keep my heart locked away"....
But still, your translation Mike is so beautiful, makes much more sense and really helping!!

Anyway, I have still some problem with this line: เมื่อไหร่ที่เผลอ

Yeah, I&#39;m not sure what&#39;s the best way to go about it either. I guess I mostly do it pretty much word-for-word, except when the direct translation sounds weird in English. But everyone does it differently, guess it&#39;s one reason why it makes this a good way to learn.

To be honest เก่งมาจากไหน ก็แพ้หัวใจอย่างเธอ เมื่อไหร่ที่เผลอ confused me also, and I&#39;m not sure my translation is correct either. As for เมื่อไหร่ที่เผลอ as &quot;Anytime I daydream&quot;, my dictionary only gives a definition of เผลอas &quot;reckless/forgetful/unintentional/careless&quot;, but I think there&#39;s more to it than that. Seems to me it can also have a meaning of daydreaming, being in a daze, thinking absent-mindedly, or kind of thinking in a worried/depressed way about something (kinda like คิดมาก I guess but not to the same extent).

I don&#39;t know if that&#39;s right, it&#39;s just the impression I got from seeing how เผลอ is used in other songs, like...
