Chuan urges govt to revoke passport of Thaksin

(BangkokPost.com) - Chief adviser of Democrat party Chuan Leekpai called on the government to speed up its process in revoking diplomatic passport of ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra.

He also said it is the government's responsibility to explain to public why Mr Thaksin plans to use state medium to talk to the people.

According to People Power party member Chatuporn Promphan, Mr Thaksin plans to call the television political talk show Kwam Jing Wan Nee (The Truth Today) hosted by government spokesman Nattawut Saikua, political veteran Veera Musikhapong and himself on November 1.

Mr Chuan said the government has the duty of maintaining fairness within the country, and the failure to do so means the government has failed its job.
