Government House nearly deserted as protesters move to Supreme Command

The Government House was nearly deserted Tuesday afternoon as the People's Alliance for Democracy moved nearly all of its protesters to join a rally outside the Supreme Command headquarters in Chaeng Wattana.

Only aged protesters and some PAD guards were left behind to protect the PAD's stronghold.

A good time, then, for the Police to peacefully take it back then and evict PAD, surely?

BBC says that shots were fired at the crowd near the airport. The police may act peacefully, but will the protesters?

I agree, if there are enough police forces left that are not at Parliament or Don Mueang.

My apologies. The protests are at the old (Don Mueang) airport, where the temporary government offices are. As far as I know, the new airport (Suvarnabhumi) is undisturbed.

Our news agencies in Russia report that the main road to the International Airport has been blocked by PAD.. Is it true?
