...though I think 'every time you are next to me' makes more sense to me...

Oh , Goodness! This is even worse . My eyes are failing me . Maybe I've too many new postings in a day after "holidaying" and away from home for 5 days. It should be either "The shadow of your tender smile" or "The image of your tender smile" or "The radiance of your tender smile". Personally , I'd prefer the last one. It gives the effect of the tender smile spreading outwards.

I do hope Anna is around to see these blunders of mine.
I guess this would make her feel better as everyone makes mistakes --- sometimes horrible mistakes like these.

well me think that every translation is to a certain degree negotiable from a creative point of view...so me don't know either...though I prefer the above version, too.

On second (actually third or fourth ) thought , I've decided on "A radiant tender smile" instead. This looks more compatible with all those lines starting with "A" .
Well , in a way , I do work systematically like the German scientists
