Hi sawadee,
I tried to enter the chatroom using both IE and Netscape but all I could see were only the top (ThaiChatBox.com) and bottom sections. Do I need to reconfigure my settings or must I download additional components from the net?
Thanks!

Hi Yeows,
some people have reported that they also cannot enter the chat. I do not know what the problem is but it is a problem of the browser and not of the Chat Software. Please try to delete all cookies, empty the IE/NS cache, enable Java-Script, and lower the security policies in IE.
I think it is because some old websites/cookies are cached by your browser that conflict with the new Chat Software and are not updated if you login
Hope it helps please give it a try

Hi all,
Could it be the java virtual machine? I guess it has to be installed in order for the chat to work. I am just guessing.
Java Virtual Machine:

Hope it helps.

Hi Stranger,
I do not think so because the new chat uses only JavaScript and not Java (like the old one). I think you need the virtual machine only for Java Apps.

(btw could you login stranger?)

Thank you for all the hard work that you have put into the Thai Chat Room. But I do want to make a suggestion. Wouldn't be easier and more convienent to place the icons on the bottom of the screen like you had before. It takes time to open the icon window and then close again. Then you have to go back and read through the messages to see if you have missed anything.

I must be such a blond, how do I get in to Thai Chat room? I have my user name and my password, but nothing is happening when I logged in. Am I doing something wrong?

hi tok,
I have no problems logging in.
I am using IE 6.0 and the JVM is running when i login to chat. I guess there's no harm to download JVM and try. Anymore suggestions?

sorry short answer / questions
Nelly>
what do you see after you logged in a white page or the login-screen again?
Yeows and Nelly>
which OS (Win98 WinXP ...) and which Browser and Version of the Browser do you use?
Steve>
You could also type the name of the icon you want in your Message for example "blank:coffee:blank" for the coffee -cup icon or ":)" for the normal smiley.
There are 3 reasons why we don't display the icons in the input frame now:
1. To reduce Webtraffic at the server
2. To increase the chat speed
3. We will at more icons (perhaps much more) and they will not fit in the input frame then.
You could see the names of the icons in the help or in the icon window under the specific icon.

Thanks but you must also thank Magnoy and Harry for their help.

I am not the master of the Thai Chat Room. That is Arjan Richard. I just help out a little here.
