Question on Zodiacs
When does the yearly animal zodiac change for Thai people? Is it January 1 or same as with the Chinese on Chinese New Year? Or even on Songkrang only?
Thanks for help

Re: Question on Zodiacs
Thanks, I read about the approx 23 days on the monthly. However on the yearly I am not sure. It definitely is not only for the Chinese; there is only 1 specific wat in Thailand assigned to each yearly Zodiac and worshipped by Thai people having the assigned Zodiac not only of Chinese descent. (His Majesty the king being Gatay has Wat Chae Haeng in Nan). My Thai friend (not Chinese) told me it always changes on Jan 1 but I could not yet verify this information.

Re: Question on Zodiacs
This page on the Chinese Zodiac http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_astrology says that in Thailand the only difference is that the Dragon is replaced with the Naga.
