    First time travel

I would like to travel to thailand next year and i have never been out of the states. Is it difficult arrange domestic travel (air and land) while in the country? I really dont want to take an extended tour, would rather wander around for afew weeks (bangkok khon kaen roi-et maybe ko samui). Would it be wise to hire a guide to make my travel plans? any info would be appreciated.

    Re: First time travel

It's very easy to organise it when you get here, whether by bus, train or air. And you might be surprised how cheap trains and buses are.

Probably just better to do a bit of research and/or ask more specific questions on the forums. There's lot's of great info here on the forums already.
