Rules of wearing Amulet???

Hello Everybody,

I believe I understand the basic rules of wearing an amulet. But I have a question. I accidently dropped my Emerald Buddha amulet that my mother gave me that I wear every day and say the basic chant for wearing amulet when I was taking it off at the end of tonight.

What is the rule for accidentally dropping an amulet on the ground in your home?

I am a Thai/American man here in the U.S. trying to understand and learn more about my mothers culture and the beliefs that she grew up with.

Please forgive my ignorance.

I heard that one should not wear Amulet in even number, like 2, 4, 6, 8 etc.

No such rule either,you can't wear even number because your amulets can't balance some ignorant fool will tell you utter rubbish that your amulets will fight with each other or power clash.It just like ignorant fool telling you can't drink goat drink lah,eat star fruit lah,beef lah,can't enter into women birth room lah,etc.

I even met one guy who told me his so called Singapore Ajahn told him once you stepped inside the birth room wearing amulets you must not re-enter for another 40 days.That guy even stress,"40 days and not a month !".All these is nonsense lah brother.Never heard from any LPhaw and Ajahn in Thai leh.

Hi Sikkha, is it true that general amulets nowdays are bless or chant for Avoiding danger, Good Fortune.... Cause I heard amulets like Pharot(hope I spell it correctly) is only chant for avoiding danger...

Most amulets usually got the general function of;
1)Kong Grapan-Impenetrability aganist weapon
2)Klaew Klaad-Avoiding danger
3)Metta Maha Niyom-others will be kind to you and you will gain popularity
4)Maha Larp-Great Fortune
5)Maha Amnaj-Great Authority or influence
6)Maha Saneh-Great Attraction

As for Phra Rord,famous amulet of Lamphun should be 1000 years old amulet.What I merely know is that due to it's ability to help the wearer escape danger it was given the name,"Rord",that is to escape.
