    Phimai Light And Sound Show

    Bangkok post April 16 2009

Nakhon Ratchasima will hold the Wimaya Nattakan Light & Sound Show on April 25 at Phimai Historical Park where one of the most significant samples of ancient Khmer architecture in Thailand is preserved.

The show depicts former glory of the Khmer empire and its architectural heritage, and features gracefully choreographed dances, among them being the Phimaipura or Vimayapura, Bai Sri Su Kwan, Manohra Len Nam, motar and pestle dance, and ritual dance traditional style boxers perform in honor of their masters.

Other highlights include a traditional welcome ceremony, a guided tour of the historical park, and an authentic northeastern dinner served against the backdrop of this archaeological wonder during the show.

If you wish further details, call the TATs northeastern office at 044-213-666and 044-213-030 or contact the Phimai district office at 044-471-617 and
    044-481-853.

Re: Phimai Light And Sound Show

The show in April was rather small and I believe it was a practice run for the big show which will be held in November. If you plan on being in the area in November try to see this show. It's spectacular.
