    I always think that BM and Tagalog have a lot of similarities (when I was little I always watch soap operas from your country)
    Our BM accent here in Borneo is even closer to the 'sound' of Tagalog in my opinion.

    when I bought my first thai language guidebook it was even more shocking for me when i learnt that the way thais say the word 'key' (kunci in BM) and 'soap' (sabun) is almost the same as in BM (i think so)

    man, i don't know whether i'm being off-topic.
