She is using the colloquial and much more common word for surgery ผ่าตัด. I might have some of this wrong, but the first time after mentioning about the fax, she says something like this.

ซึ่งตรงนี้ไปนะอันเนี่้ยหากคุณหนูถึงสู่ผ่าตัดได้

I don't know about the second question.
