I wasn't sure it is edible so I didn't want to put it in the Food Forum.

It definitely looks like something related to bananas, the shape of the leaves, and the way the flower turns into fruit, and the little fruits. I haven't found larger bunches of fruit around. The flowers are a lot smaller than banana flowers, slightly longer than my fingers.

What is this plant? Wild banana?

Ah great, thanks Rcalaimo, and Betti for asking. Someone in out street has one of these in her garden, about 6.5-foot tall. It was the first time I had seen one. It looks exactly like a banana plant except for that colourful flower.

She told me that they are just for "decoration" and doesn't produce any edible bananas.
By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.
