I would recommend Pulau Langkawi, if ur only having a 2-3 days time. U can take a van from Hatyai to Satun and then a 45 minutes ferry ride to that malaysian island. It has quite a number of tourist attractions. So u might wanna give it a try.

There's also another place i would like to recommend if you wan to go temple sightseeing. That is Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery. Here's the info..
