    Question with Translation

i was wondering if someone could translate "friends forever" into thai for me.
i have done it on google translation but i don't know if it just translated each word individually or if it was done in the proper way.
google's translation is "เพื่อนถาวร". is this the proper way it's written?
i also found each individual word in my english/thai workbook but i haven't reached the chapter in proper translation so i don't know how to write it.

    Re: Question with Translation

    เพื่อน = friend / friends

The word for "forever" instead of ถาวร that fits here better would be เสมอ or ตลอดไป, but I would prefer เสมอ

If you want to get really Poetic instead of เสมอ you could use ชั่วฟ้าดินสลาย literally meaning "until the World tears apart" (I am not a native English speaker, but I think that's how it translates).

    เพื่อนเสมอ / เพื่อนตลอดไป = friends forever

    Some more variations could be

    เพื่อนแท้ = real friends

    เพื่อนแท้เสมอ = real friends forever

Maybe some native Thai Speakers could confirm.

    Re: Question with Translation

I reckon เพื่อนกันตลอดไป - it's better to use เพื่อนกัน rather than just เพื่อน, as the กัน shows you mean being friends with each other.

    Re: Question with Translation

Another suitable word is นิรันดร Forever, eternally, for always

    เพื่อนกันนิรนดร friends forever

More elegant เพื่อนกันชั่วนิรันดร Friends throughout eternity
