Re: Marrying a Thai Lady
You are not a realist...
A realist - by definition - understands - that he understands nothing for certain. That by being a realist, he cannot phantom the possibilities, and that the safe answer is no answer.
So by your own words - you are a pessimist. You look at life from a very negative view, you have a sour disposition, and anyone that is around - probably suffers from the same. Birds of a feather - flock together...
Paul, stop while you are ahead. There are way to many smart people here that see you for what you are... at best a pessimist, at worst a troll....

Re: Marrying a Thai Lady
BTW, congratulations.. on your engagement, and future life together. I offer a simple toast...
My you find your happiness fulfilled, and when the storms of life come.. and trust me.. they will come... Remember the beauty that you saw in each other. In the best of times... love is easy.. in the storms.. is when love will blossom if given wings and a chance... Give love a chance....
Congratulations again.. may you have many happy years together...

Re: Marrying a Thai Lady
Realist is good but you do not have to say such a negative thing to people on their happy day such as unappropriate, mannerless and refered to any negative statistic. it is a very poor excuse.
If I would go to any goverment office for put application for married certificate with my lover and any officer there refered to the divorce statistic . I would be very unhappy .
