How to ask a Thai girl to marry you

I plan on asking my Thai girlfriend to marry me in march. I wanted to ask her in Thai. Iwas told I could ask her buy saying thang kang kub phom nab- I want u marry with me. I was wondering if there was a better way to ask. Any help would be appreciated.

Whai is the difference between the 3 phrases?

Its all with the same meaning...Its just difference way of saying...

None of those sound very romantic though, do they? "dai mai" sounds a bit weird, like if she happens to be free at the time, or if she doesn't have to work, or nothing else better to do.

Why not just:
แต่งงานกับผมไหมครับ
Taeng ngaan kab phom mai khrab?

It still sounds lacking in confidence perhaps?
At least the OP's original version sounds more like you think she'll want to marry you.

My wife has also just confirmed that the "dai mai" ones sound a bit rubbish. She goes for:
แต่งงานกับผมนะครับ
and then you go and do the part which is really important. That is asking the girl's parents. Which is much more important than asking the girl.

as a thai girl myslef..i would prefer แต่งงานกับผมนะครับ( tang ngan kub pom na krup) oh my god..its so dreamy..anyways anything would do for me....i dont think she cares either..for real...go for it!

in language translating u cant just direct translate it..its the culture way to say this thing..i dont think there is any better way..i mean..anything that works for u..its the action that matter the most..

tang ngan kub pom na krup = will u marry me? ( in thai) ..its cute, nice and polite..its not "I want u to marry me" like u said..

tang ngan = marry , kub = with, pom= me, na krup = leave it a little question at the end..isnt that cute......awww

Thank u for the help. I want it to be special. My original plan was to fly her to the swiss alps and ask her there but the visa issue is tought. I will just plan on our honeymoon there.
