Level 4 is one of the most popular levels in the national park, a bit of an effort to get to but a great place for a dip (swim) to cool off and if you are up to it you can climb up on the falls and slide off.

Here is a friend of mine (Rick) doing just that when we visited back in November 2009

    Level 5 is just amazing.

While I was filming the fish swam over towards me looking for some feet to nibble on.

Before you get to level 5, you have to cross another bridge, the wonky one….well it looks wonky (wobbly) but it is surprisingly very steady.

    Don’t forget the bug spray…

And just before the second bridge is this lovely rest stop. A nice place to catch your breath.

The wet season is by far is the best time to visit Erawan Falls, the place comes alive with small water falls everywhere, and the sound of the running water is just amazing.

These falls just before level 7 are by far my favorite. This is such a lovely level and one that many people, who are too busy looking down at their feet, miss the right turn over the big log and never get to see.

    Re: Erawan Falls

To get to the falls just below level 7, look out for this huge fallen tree, the path passes through the base of its dead trunk so you really can’t miss it. You can either walk along its length (a bit tricky keeping your balance) or get very wet feet by walking beside it.

You cannot see these falls from the path but you can hear them.

Once at the base of the falls and looking back, you can see so many people walking past on the way to or coming back from level 7, all looking down at their feet and concentrating on the uneven ground.

    Level 7.

It only took a few days for the water flow to greatly reduce, it was 5 days between this photo and going back up with the video camera. I was hoping to capture the massive water flow on video…’O’ well…there is always next year
