The media is reporting that the goal is to have the government step down by midday tomorrow and call new elections.

Seriously, what do they honestly think is going to happen?

Even if the outcome is the best that they could hope for, that is, a peaceful resignation of the government and new elections called, what do they think is going to happen?

Thaksin's party, or parties backed by him have won the past 3 elections and all of them were disregarded and set aside by the entitled elites. Does anyone expect anything different to happen this time?

Nothing will change until there is real representation. Until people have a say in local affairs, and there are parties that are actually open to members who can have a say in policies and who represents them.

Looking back on this, it's like it never happened. At the time it felt to me like the beginning of the end, and the point of no return, yet things returned to normal so quickly, you'd never know.
